FFN (Formatia Fara Nume) launches its latest album "In Blue Jeans" in Toronto


After 28 years of absence from the music scene, the famous Romanian group FFN (Formatia Fara Nume / Band Without A Name) is proudly announcing the release of their latest album, titled "In Blue Jeans" through an album-launch party.

The event will take place on June 5, 2008, at the Floral Hall in Edwards Gardens - Toronto Botanical Gardens.
FFN will present "In Blue Jeans" as well as perform several songs from the album.
Opening the night will be the Romanian musical group ANIMA.

Tickets are $20, and they include refreshments, coffee, soft drinks, as well as parking. There will also be a cash bar.

FFN is one of the bands that came into public conscience in Romania in the 1970s. Having begun attracting attention while playing in concert, they showcased their talent through the release of some very successful singles followed by the appearance of three albums in the period 1975-1980.

FFN, after much hard work during countless weekends, have succeeded in creating a new album, “In Blue Jeans”, which is the same title as one of the numbers on the CD. The song “In Blue Jeans” was initially recorded in 1973 and has been a revelation, because today it has been recreated with modern sound technology. This album contains new material: of the 16 songs, 8 are in Romanian, 6 in English and two are instrumental. The album was produced and recorded integrally by Silviu Olaru and Cristian Madolciu in two studios in Toronto. The mixing and mastering of the album took place in a third studio, Silverbirch Productions. Collaborators on the new album include Gabi Litvin, and Marius and Vincentiu Dumitrescu.

This time around, there is one pair of tickets available to each screening of California Dreamin' (Endless) (2007)(Sunday, April 13th @ 2:45pm) and The Paper Will Be Blue (2006) (Saturday, April 12th @ 8:30pm).
